The Wanderer

Nico and I met two years ago at the annual Dutch OBODweekend where we both were part of the music group that accompanied the Crane Dance during the Fire Labyrinth. Since then we see each other regularly at Celebrations in different Groves and Seedgroups, where we sing our songs together at the Eisteddfod and so we and our families became befriended. All this resulted in this special project: The Wanderer. Nico wrote this song in the nineties for his brother who emigrated, I liked the catchy melody and we decided to work on it. I wrote the second verse and we added some other instruments. Although the technical quality isn’t yet superb, we are really satisfied with the result! - Ingeborg

The Wanderer won at the Samhain 2007 Eisteddfod. And this is the link to the song at Ingeborg's website.

The Wanderer
(Nico/Ingeborg - 2007)

Chorus
Dm F C G
I'm looking at the world through the eyes of the Wanderer
Feeling the sun, smelling the rain.
Looking through my eyes at the world of the Wanderer
Bring me inside, take me away.

C G Dm
I see the world shape itself
in front of my eyes.
It has always been here
but covered with lies.
I see the world build itself
in front of my eyes.
I'm sure it has been here
but covered with ice.

Chorus

C G Dm
And so I move on then
and walk my way.
Is it all an illusion
who can say.
I see the world build itself
and walk my way.
I'm sure it has been here
day after day.

Chorus
